Frere Hospital in East London - 24th September 2011
Simamkele, Dorah, Babalwa, Dikeledi, Jose, Bongani P and Bronwen Jones were among a delegation from Children of Fire to Frere Hospital in East London on Saturday 24th September 2011 who delivered chocolates made by Johannesburg chocolatier Kees Beyers to patients and nurses in the burns ward.
The children also presented Duplo and other toys to the several toddlers in the ward.
They travelled 22 hours by train to make the hand-delivery, via Shosholoza Meyl and with additional transport help from Transman.
