Children of Fire Easter 2005 outing
|
Twenty five children went out for lunch at a Johannesburg pizzeria Trabella in Oxford Road, Illovo, on Easter Saturday.
Our thanks to Tracy and Michael Bell for their generosity.
The children were accompanied by UMashesha volunteer Tristan De Ionno-Jones (14) to supervise them and assist the most disabled ones to eat.
They ate til they were full, danced, sang and sat in amazement to watch a magic show.... where the tricks were so clever that even the 14 year old said he could not work out how they were done.
Star of the party was Sizwe Hlope-Jones, a Mimosa Montessori pupil aged four, whose classmate's grandpa had invited all the children to lunch.
Those attending included: seven little girls aged six years old: Patricia (Bambino) Diamond, Lindiwe Malatjie, Monique Coetzee, Grace Khumalo, Zinhle Mshentenjane, Thandeka Ngwenya and Jocqueline Ribane.
Three boys: Fire (Buhle) Mbali aged 5 and Dikeo Tlale and Desmond Mkwambe, both aged 6.
Three boys: Joshua Thusong (7), Bonolo Baikaketse and Emanuel Lavenga, both aged eight years old.
Four little girls aged nine years old: Georgina Moeketsi, Ruth Khumalo, Shandre Meko and Philadelphia Mante.
Three little boys aged nine years old: Sizwe Zongola, Boysi Zongola, Pilasanda Jabanga,
And four older girls Amukelani Malatjie (10), Dorah Mokoena-Jones 10) Zusiphe Jabanga (11) and Ntombintombi Xalu (12).
The children had sweets, socks and small cooler bags to take home... and even some surplus pizza.
